The Bach and Handel Chorale, under the direction of Randall D. Perry, invite you to a Benefit Concert of Sacred Music on Sunday, May 23rd at 3 pm in St. John’s Lutheran Church located at 319 South Avenue in Jim Thorpe (Heights) to help Shepherd House. They oversee the Carbon County Food pantry program. Shepherd House supports nine pantries in the county which feeds over 800 families.
Some of the musical highlights of the program are: “A Mighty Fortress is Our God”, Martin Luther/Gordon Young, “Christus Resurrexit”and “Glorificamus”, G. Young, “Ave Verum Corpus”, W. A. Mozart, “Dona Nobis Pacem”, J. S. Bach, “God So Loved the World”, J. Stainer, “I Know That My Redeemer Lives”, R. Hughes, “Lord, I Call, O Hear Me”, F. J. Haydn, “For the Beauty of the Earth”, J. Rutter, “Promised Land”, N. Sleeth and “Christ is Made the Sure Foundation” composed by Randall Perry. Come and be inspired.
Shepherd House is a non-profit charitable organization. All donations are tax deductible. A free will offering will be accepted.
